Saturday Evening Post

Happy Saturday!!
I am bored, so I thought I would post something
I finished my Summer House, but before I post a pic I want to get it in a frame.
I finished block 4 of VoHRH this morning

I started this last week sometime and just don't know about the color fabby. What do you think? Is it too blue? for this design. It is 32ct, unknown color

It is Starr of Mine by Little House Needleworks from this months Gift of Stitching.

A friend and I went shopping today. We went to the Yankee Candle store. I spent 26. 00 on a jar and there seems to be no scent as I sit here and have had it burning for awhile now. It is called Patchouli, they carry discontinued scents from time to time and this is one. I should have bought Thunder Storm.

I will leave you with a snap of a Monarch butterfly on my coneflower taken yesterday

Hi Ranae - Congrats!! on finishing Block #4. It looks great. Now on to block Five!! I love watching your progress. I should pick up mine and work on it - it calls to me sometimes - obviously not loud enough!

I'm not sure about the fabric. Did you toss your floss on it before starting? I think that all the colors in the pattern seem strong enough against that fabric and it's a good thing to use up fabric in our stash. BTW, you've enabled me - I think I need a subscription to GOS. I love the pattern.

Beautiful picture of the butterfly. I love pictures like that. It's such a nice feeling to be able to capture something like that before it flies away.

And don't be bored, stitch Woman!!!

Block #4 looks great! I think the blue is a little strong...imho...It's a beautiful blue but I'm not sure about the LHN on it...maybe a more suttle? You're funny, I just took a pic tonight of a butterfly on my stargazers! lol

Your new block from VoHRH looks great. Like your new start too, the fabric looks good to me. Love the little witch. I don't think I've ever seen that one by Stony Creek, what a cutie. Hope your candle started to smell a little stronger after you wrote this, how disappointing to have spent the money and not have a scent you can smell for you to enjoy.

Block 4 came out great, congrats. I look forward to seeing your framed Summer House. Your new project start may look a little dark for the design but it's hard tell in a photo online, if you love it use it. CJ ok;-)

I love watching your progress on VoHRH, Ranae--the 4th block is great! I think I agree with tkdquintmom that the blue is a bit strong, but it is hard to tell from a photo. The pattern looks light and airy and wonder if the fabric should have that feeling too? Don't know--just my humble opinion :)

Your block looks great. And no, I don't think the blue looks too blue for that LHN piece. Very nice btw!!

Block #4 is looking great! Can't wait to do this design. I have to finish Shores first!
Could you dip your fabric in hot water to see if it will fade slightly? Is it an overdyed fabric? If not, you could dip it in Rit color remover for a few seconds, and that should tone it down a bit. It will probably affect the stitching you've already done, so if you don't like the results, you may have to frog it out.

Hope you get out of your slump soon. I know how you feel, I'm feeling that way as well.

Your VoHRH block looks fantastic! Congrats! I love that blue fabric! How do the other colors of floss look against it?

Great progress. Your block looks really good.

The blue is a bit much for me, but so far, the contrast does look good.

And what a spectacular flutterby!

Congrats on finishing Summer House! Your #4 block looks great!

I kind of like the fabric color.

Woohoo! You're one more block closer to finishing ;o)

Honestly, I think it's too Caribbean blue for that pattern. That's just 'my' opinion though!

Lovely picture.

Congratulations on your recent finishes.
What did you decide concerning the blue fabric? Have you stitched on? I'd say, if you like the colour then just go on with it.
